Milena Šolcová is a classical guitarist with an international concert career and a distinctive artistic profile. Her playing combines technical precision with musical expressiveness and a compelling stage presence.
As a prizewinner of numerous international competitions, she has received, among others, the Third Prize at the German Guitar Award (2021), the ESTA Special Prize at the 24th Forum Gitarre Wien International Competition(2019), and First Prize at the International Guitar Biennale Kutná Hora (2017). She was also a finalist at the renowned Silesian Guitar Autumn in Tychy, Poland (2019).
In 2022, she was awarded the „Ideen im Turm“ prize for her innovative artistic and ecological project “A Journey with a Donkey and a Guitar through the Villages.” The resulting concert tour took place in 2023 in the Nový Jičín region of the Czech Republic, combining classical guitar music with nature, sustainability, and unconventional concert venues. She was also awarded a two-year Yehudi Menuhin Scholarship.
As a soloist, Milena Šolcová has performed with orchestras including the Pardubice Philharmonic in the Czech Republic, where she performed Astor Piazzolla’s Concerto for Guitar and Bandoneon, and with the Polish AUKSO Orchestra, with whom she performed Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s Concerto in D major, Op. 99. She has also appeared as a soloist at renowned guitar festivals, including “Guitar – Across the Genres” in Prague and the Stuttgart International Guitar Festival.
